As inspired by Srila Prabhupada’s instruction given to his disciples in 1974, No one within ten miles of ISKCON temple should go hungry. Where ever there is an ISKCON establishment, there is always Annadanam. In this regard, the ISKCON in Visakhapatnam has tied up with the Government and is providing mid-day meal in Government schools in vicinity. While the Government contributes, ISKCON also puts in, its own funds to ensure that the meals are nutritious. hygienic and tasty. The Annadanam kitchen is equipped with machineries which can rustle up 8000 meals at one time. Considering the enormous potential the temple complex has, thanks to its tranquil location, it has generated lot of interest and awe and many vizagites are pitching in.
