Tulasi is the eternal consort of Lord Krishna, and the most pure devotee, and therefore, the Tulasi plant is worshiped by Vaishnavas. Simply by worshiping her faithfully, a devotee can free himself from all material miseries. Every day, at 5:15 am and at 6:15 pm, Tulasi puja is performed in the main temple hall. There are three major aspects of Tulasi worship.
- Tulasi Pranama: Devotees chant Tulasi Pranama Mantra thrice and offer obeisances to Tulasi.
- Tulasi Arati: Offering of incense, lamp and flowers to Tulasi Devi as the devotees sing the Tulasi Kirtana.
- Tulasi Pradakshina: Devotees circumambulate Tulasi Devi chanting the Pradakshina Mantra. It is said that when a person circumambulates Tulasi Devi, all the sins he may have committed are destroyed at every step. Devotees again offer obeisances chanting the Tulasi Pranama Mantra.
